.
Open on February 2008, Nokia’s flagship store in Regent Street (one of London’s major shopping streets) will be closed before its 2-year birthday.

The store will be closed for the same reason most stores are closed: it’s not profitable. More exactly, a Nokia spokeswomen declared that it’s “not been as efficient or as profitable” as the company hoped it would be.

The Nokia Regent Street store currently offers various services, and phones that are either unlocked, or connected to the networks of major British carriers (O2, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange and 3).

About 30 people will remain jobless after the 7500 square foot store is closed.
