However, its preoccupation with being able to take a beating means there's not much going on in the specs department -- with performance that's not pedestrian, but infuriating. The question we're asking you, however, is does its super-cheap price and build quality make up for being straight-up nasty to use? Would you have stumped up an extra fifty bucks to get a better CPU (or just to banish TouchWiz from the device?). Mobile phone companies want to know what'd compel you to buy this device, over all the others in the world so why not tell them in the comments below?
Despite boasting one of the smallest data footprints in the streaming game (0.2MB per minute), you can now download over 10,000 radio shows for unconnected listening. Beware -- the app will automatically update the shows on your custom stations, so if you plan on using it to save that precious data for other things, make sure to set it to only pull over WiFi. Along with that major enhancement, there's a new comments system and other improvements in Facebook sharing, searching and AirPlay compatibility. The PR says the update is live, but iTunes disagrees, so you'll have to wait a little longer before going off-grid.Blonyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02087216971146966912noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104283382104596689.post-53521994125458962862012-09-11T02:43:00.000-07:002012-09-11T02:43:10.390-07:00Apple’s new iPhone 5 won’t rely on Samsung components as much as older modelsSamsung has been a key component supplier to Apple throughout the years, manufacturing parts for basically all iPhone models until now (although the latest iPhone 4S doesn’t use Samsung-made NAND flash, like the previous models do).
But Apple’s new iPhone, expected to be unveiled on September 12 in San Francisco, might not rely that much on Samsung components.
According to Reuters and The Korea Economic Daily, Samsung will not supply DRAM and NAND chips for the first batch of new iPhone 5s. Instead, Apple will use chips manufactured by Toshiba, Hynix, and Elpida.
Even so, Reuters reports that “Samsung is still in the list of initial memory chip suppliers (for new iPhones). But Apple orders have been trending down and Samsung is making up for the reduced order from others, notably Samsung’s handset business.” The publication further notes that Apple didn’t reduce Samsung orders because of the two companies’ ongoing patent disputes, but because it wants to widen its supply chain in order to avoid shortages.
rights to install software that monitors company-owned computers and reports
back to IT with details on exactly what employees are doing on the company’s
dime. There’s nothing wrong with spending a few minutes here and there checking
out the latest status updates from your Facebook friends or the latest tech
news here on BGR, but some employers might not agree. Of course the safest play
is to keep personal browsing and chats on your smartphone, but there are also
several ways to determine whether or not your computer is being monitored.

to snoop around in your Windows Firewall settings to see if permissions have

You may have been receiving hang-ups or harassing calls, or perhaps you found a phone number and have no idea why you kept it. There are many ways to get free information about any phone number, including its location and owner.

1.Use a reverse search service to see if name and address information is available about the telephone number through a free online directory. There are many to choose from, and one is listed in the Resources section. This is the easiest way to get free information about a phone number unless it is unlisted.

2.Visit a phone call tracking website to see if others have reported receiving calls from the same number. If the number is a business, others may have reported getting calls in an online database such as 800notes.com or whocallsme.com (see Resources). Sometimes the only information will be that the number is known for making hang-up or harassing calls. Often, however, other visitors to the site will have additional information on the caller's name, company and address.

3.Narrow down the area code and prefix. If you cannot find information on the exact telephone number, you can often pinpoint its place of origin by doing some research on the area code and the first 3 digits of the number. There are many online sources for looking up area codes, one of which is listed in the Resources. To find the location of a prefix, search the area code and prefix together in Google (for example, for phone number (312) 555-1234, you would search 312 555). You will see a list of individual and business results, including addresses, which will tell you the number's probable location.

4.Call the number and ask for the information directly from the person who answers. This direct approach is especially good if you have a solid reason for wanting to know, such as receiving harassing calls or hang-ups from the number in question. Even if the person at the other end refuses to give out the information, he will be on notice that you are gathering information and may stop calling you. If the number you're investigating is a business number, you may not even need to ask because the person at the other end will probably answer with the business name.

That may be about to change, however, as AppleInsider reports that Apple has added both the Samsung Galaxy S III and the Galaxy Note to a separate complaint that it filed this past February that asserted eight utility patents against 17 different Samsung products.
The request for injunction against the Note and the Galaxy S III doesn’t mean Samsung will have to stop selling either device anytime soon since the complaint in question hasn’t yet led to any significant sales bans of Samsung products. But it does show that Apple is not satisfied with the $1 billion the jury awarded it last week and will continue to go after Samsung as long as it continues to “flood the market with copycat devices,” in Apple’s words. Samsung had better hope that the patent talks between Apple CEO Tim Cook and Google (GOOG) CEO Larry Page produce results, and quickly.
Motorola doesn’t need any stinking bezels! According to Bloomberg, Motorola and Verizon Wireless (VZ) may surprise the tech world next week by unveiling a new smartphone featuring “an edge-to-edge screen” that would completely eliminate the black bezels that line the edges of most smartphones. Motorola is banking that the all-screen display, along with unique features such as its location-based Smart Actions multitasking app, to set itself apart in an increasingly crowded smartphone market. Both Motorola and Verizon declined to comment.
A 2011 Pew Internet Project survey found that 25 percent of smartphone owners do most of their Internet browsing on their phones.
The dilemma is that the more you depend on your phone, the faster you’re going to drain its battery. While screen, processor and storage technology has advanced significantly, lithium-ion batteries haven’t changed much in 15 years. Incremental improvements in battery efficiency have been far outpaced by processing power and screen size and brightness, as well as 3G and 4G radios, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antennas, HD cameras, GPS and a variety of other hardware, all of which require power.
To conserve battery life on your phone, turn off what you don’t need, optimize what you do and perform a few tasks manually instead of automating them. You can both increase the time between charges and add to your battery’s usable life.
An image that recently popped up on Twitter reminds us that HTC is also a supporter of Microsoft's mobile OS. The picture above claims to be a possible schema for a forthcoming handset, which the poster believes to be the HTC Accord. The account belongs to a prolific XDA-Developer user with a history of Windows Phone ROMS, so it's entirely possible this was found somewhere along the way. Likewise, though, we'll have to take this with the requisite amount of salt. There's not much in the way of specification to be gleaned here, either, but at the least we can get a sense of what the design style might be like going forward. We just need to wait now for the official product launch event to join the ever-growing list.
According to Bluetooth.com, the technology allows you to pair two devices over small distances of up to 33 feet. Once you pair the devices, you can transfer information from one device to another using applications on the iPad that support Bluetooth transfer. The steps to connect your iPad to a cellphone is straightforward and can be completed in a few minutes.

The iPhone is Apple's popular smart phone. The "Airplane Mode" function turns off all wireless functionality so that you can use the device while traveling in the air. Airplane Mode disables all Wi-Fi, bluetooth and phone signals. While in Airplane Mode, no phone calls can be made or received and no data can be sent or received. Removing an iPhone from Airplane Mode upon landing is simple. The feature is toggled on and off via a simple switch in the device's Settings.
If you've synchronized your smartphone and other devices to an account such as Microsoft Exchange Server, you can relax: Your contacts will migrate to your new phone when you connect. Another option, if both phones have the right hardware, is to use the SIM card holding your old phone's data to transfer your contacts. Some phone vendors also offer transfer software, such as Verizon's Backup Assistant app, but even if none of these methods applies to your situation, you still have alternatives to typing in every single name and number.

Available in 47 countries, the new app brings a brand new UI with support for channels that reflects the redesign rolled out on the website last year (not the circle-centric look that it is testing with a select few), and it can precache videos from your favorite channels for viewing later. All you have to do is select "preload" in the setting menu and it will pull down videos from your subscriptions and Watch Later queue when plugged in and on WiFi. To actually view them later you will still need to be online, but they'll load instantly from the device's storage instead of streaming.

Another new feature is integrated remote functionality to control playback on connected TVs and other devices. This apparently extends to more than just Google TV, as we're told to "expect more updates later" on how this feature will become broadly available. If you're not rocking the latest Android software don't freak out yet, as the team indicates these features will come to more devices later. Developers should be excited too as there's a slew of new YouTube APIs available, hit the source links below to check them out or download the app yourself.

The executive revealed that his firm is working with most major automakers, although he failed to disclose which ones. “The same innovation that’s happening in the smartphone is going to tip into the car,” Bardin said in an interview with Bloomberg. Waze, which is available for free on both the iPhone and Android devices, has some 19 million users, all whom have the ability to share traffic information and earn different rewards. The company’s foray into the automobile industry comes as both Apple and Microsoft have revealed plans to greater integrate their ecosystems into upcoming vehicles.

The troubled Taiwanese manufacturer is planning three Windows Phone 8-powered smartphones, the entry-level Rio, mid-range Accord and flagship Zenith. The Rio will reportedly feature a 4-inch WVGA display, a Qualcomm MSM8227 processor and a 5-megapixel camera with 720p video capture support. The Accord will include a larger 4.3-inch Super LCD 2 display, an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p out, HSPA+ connectivity, NFC, 1GB of RAM and a dual-core processor, possibly a Qualcomm MSM8260A. HTC’s most interesting smartphone, the Zenith, will reportedly be equipped with a massive 4.7-inch Super LCD 2 display, an unnamed quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and the same 8-megapixel camera found in the Accord. The Rio and Accord are slated to be released in October according to the roadmap, while the Zenith will launch sometime in the fourth quarter.

If so, you might love Apple’s new iPhone 3GS Smart Phone. In regard to smartphones, this particular model a few years ago was the best in its league. The iPhone 4, for instance, is now the most coveted smartphone comparatively speaking. What is great about the release of the new iPhone is that it gives people a chance to try out the iPhone 3GS Smart Phone at a much lower cost.

Smartphone technology has grown by leaps and bounds in the last few years, making a simple cell phone so much more. To make sure you never get lost, the iPhone 3GS Smart Phone has a GPS system ready to use. GPS units that are in cars are very useful, yet you should also have one with you in case you are trying to find your way in a metropolitan area while walking. The Maps & Compass application is easy to download and you can use it right away. Finding North is no problem at all using this app. Finding a place to go has never been easier using the Maps function on the app. You can locate anything from restaurants to hotels by just typing in the word and it will present the ones nearest you.

One of the main problems with people getting smart phones is that the cost is way too high. Spending several hundred dollars on a phone is a large decision to make; you need to know having a phone is worth all that money. Do you want to get an iPhone 3GS? Right now, they are only $49 which is a bargain for a phone with this many features. AT&T offers this type of deal, but it comes with a two-year contract.

An exceptionally good option for a phone of this quality, especially an iPhone. Getting a mobile phone is an essential necessity in today’s world, and even though you have a contract, it is a bill you have to pay so why not get an iPhone at this low price.

One very simple but still convenient feature offered by the iPhone 3GS is the ability to copy and paste things like images and text. This is something you take for granted on your computer, but it’s still a fairly advanced feature for a phone, and the iPhone 3GS was one of the first to make this available. Not only are you able to copy blocks of text, you are also able to copy entire sections of websites–including the images they contain. You are then able to paste the things you’ve copied into documents and emails that you want to send. Lots of the more highly priced smart phones also offer this capability but it is difficult to find copy and paste features that work well on other phones that are in the same price range of the iPhone 3GS.

The iPhone 3GS smart phone is a classic device that Apple created and holds up perfectly well against other phones. It’s a good idea to compare this phone to newer models like the iPhone 4 to see if you really think its worth it to pay more money for features that you are not even going to use. On the other hand, if you’re really intent on getting the very latest iPhone, your best bet would be to get the iPhone 5 when it comes out.

Via New Christian RadioBlonyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02087216971146966912noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104283382104596689.post-76659857249424191302011-12-11T05:54:00.000-08:002011-12-16T06:00:13.553-08:00Why iPhone apps are no longer selling well

There is an open secret among iPhone app developers right now: compared to one year ago, there is less money being generated in the app store. I don’t mean for the long tail, I mean for apps in general – for example, an app that is at position 50 in the American App Store charts, in the Lifestyle category, is earning LESS now, than last year. The same trend is mirrored across most other categories.

So why is less money being made, even though there are a lot more iPhones out there? I have an explanation:

When are most iPhone apps sold? Answer: At Christmas. Every Christmas, most developers sell about 3 time as many apps as normal. Over the course of the year, the people who got new iPhones for Christmas are not throwing away their iPhones, they are simply buying less apps. What this means is that over time, the number of apps a user buys declines. This makes sense intuitively – as a user satisfies his needs for apps, the less he will go hunting for new apps.

Now, imagine a scenario where Apple stops selling any new iPhones. All the people who already own iPhones will buy less and less apps the longer they own the phone, and the number of apps being sold will decline.

What this implies logically, is that the total number of apps being sold is dependent on the number of NEW iPhones being sold. So for the same number of apps to be sold, growth in total number of iPhones has to be constant. If 7% more iPhones were sold in 2010 compared to 2009, then 7% more iPhones have to be sold in 2011 compared to 2010, for THE SAME number of apps to be sold. If growth drops to 6%, then less apps will be sold. And that is exactly what has happened.

Via Max Klein
Blonyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02087216971146966912noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104283382104596689.post-48078572912995353652011-09-20T05:43:00.000-07:002011-12-16T05:54:07.774-08:00Why Exactly The Same Appearance And iPhone 4 iPhone 4S

After the listing from the original iPhone, Apple introduced a new annual cell phone, but we can clearly find that the appearance on the sui generis iPhone (iPhone 4S cool covers), iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS exactly the same, iPhone 4 iPhone 4S and miraculously they are similar, This is not to please explain it to illustrate the master, then?? There have been 4 generations of iPhone. The quite very first model of the iPhone is named iPhone. The 1st iPhone was released to the marketplace in mid of 2007. The 2nd generation is called iPhone 3G launched on mid of 2008, follow by iPhone 3GS introduced on mid of 2009 and the current iPhone four unveiled on mid of 2010.

The iPhone is not a normal standard cellphone that you can only contact and getting a contact but it is a smartphone. This meaning that iPhone is a blend of simple mobile phone, web and multimedia-enabled smartphone including digital camera, text messaging, visual voicemail, transportable media participant, WIFI connection, and an Web customer with electronic mail, net searching and many much more.

One of the most critical selling factors and dominant feature of the iPhone 4 is the Retina capacitive contact screen. This Retina display screen is the sharpest, most radiant, best-resolution of 640 x 960 at 326 ppi with scratch-resistant glass telephone display at any time. The capacitive touch display screen is created for a bare finger, or several fingers for multi-contact sensing. The contact and gesture capabilities of the iPhone offered not only sensitivity but the most accuracy finger contact input. It gives the users experience like the iPhone is so intelligent which the iPhone understands when you want to switching/swiping amongst the pages only and when you want to open an application applications.

I believe that most of you know that 1 of the iPhone 4 remarkable abilities is the “pinching” gesture. It zoom in and out of net pages and pictures which is completed by putting two fingers on the screen and spreading them farther apart or bringing them nearer collectively. Second of all, the accuracy of text input via touching the virtual keyboard will surprise you as effectively. The other contact sensing feature that impressed me a lot is the Chinese characters producing. Picture that by using a bare finger only and compose a Chinese character on leading of the display screen, the iPhone will identify what you wrote and give you 3 other alternative characters for you to choose. The accuracy meets 99%.

As described over, the iPhone 4 is a smartphone but I would like to contact it a “Super Gadget”. Why? It is because with the availability of the network connection, the iPhone is a cellphone, netbook, notebook, electronic book, pocket dictionary, multi-languages translator, map, scientific calculator, organizer, engineering equipment, portable recreation console, GPS product, portable media participant and a lot a lot more you name it, the iPhone 4 received it. For instance, it will become my netbook when there is a network link. It is my map, GPS, compass and multi-languages translator when travelling. It is my recreation console and media player when I get bored. It is my personalized Bible which I carry it, and read it daily and almost everywhere. It is even my “savior” on my engineering stuff like leveling equipments, engineering unit converter, scientific calculator, engineering formulas and and so on. Guess what, I never ever get bored, missing and never ever deliver alongside multi gizmos for travelling, and go buying with my spouse. What I need to have is just to carry together this mild and handy iPhone 4.

Of training course the stock iPhone four alone is incomplete as a “Tremendous Gadget” but many thanks to the App store with a lot more than 200,000 apps application, the iPhone four will deem to be best. You can either logon to the iTunes account through the iPhone or personalized pc. Therefore, the good point about the iPhone 4 is that you can get the applications where ever and every time you want. For case in point, assuming you are touring and want to generate in Bangkok, Thailand but you will not know the way. So, just logon to the App retailer and buy the GPS navigation app and bingo, your iPhone four is now a GPS navigator now. Well, the apps are different in prices and some of the apps are even cost-free of charge. Think it or not, some of the cost-free of cost applications can be very valuable as well.

Previous but not least, as an operator of Apple iPhone four myself I strongly imagine that it is an outstanding smartphone actually. With one simple typical smartphone price tag and you will get all the stuffs. So, why trouble to get additional PSP, GPS navigator, scientific calculator, MP3 player, pocket dictionary, pocket Bible, and and many others. The iPhone scenario & components are quite calme as well. You can change all sort of iPhone situations to match your moods, distinct occasion and use. So, I surely will stick with Apple iPhone and will keep on to help it with my next and potential phones.

Greatest regards,

Kit Chong
Cell Mega Mall

IPhone 4s Accessories
Related Sites : iPhone 4s Accessories

Blonyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02087216971146966912noreply@blogger.com0
