LG eXpo – Smartphone with a 1-GHz Processor

U.S. operator AT & T and the LG company announced the first 1 GHz smartphone in the United States named LG eXpo (also known as Monaco, Pico and IQ). The smartphone is running based on the Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional operating system.

The device is made in the slider form factor with sliding QWERTY-keyboard and is the first mobile device in the U.S. based on the processor with the capacity of 1 GHz.

LG eXpo is also the first device in North America, equipped with removable pico-projector. The weight of LG eXpo is 51 g.

LG eXpo supports the standard HSPA 7,2 Mbit / s, is equipped with 3.2-inch touchscreen WVGA-screen, 5-megapixel camera, GPS-receiver and a slot for microSD format memory cards. The new smartphone supports Smart Sensor fingerprint recognition from AuthenTec and optionally equipped with a miniature projector.

Cost of the smartphone LG eXpo is $200 with discount and subject to the 2-year contract with the operator.
