T-Mobile Loses Customers in Q3
10:17 AM Edited by Blony
As T-Mobile released its quarterly earnings and numbers today, it became much more apparent that there is a divide ever-expanding between the top 2 US carriers and the next 2. As AT&T and Verizon continue to grow its subscriber base from year to year, Sprint and T-Mobile are both losing customers.
For Q3, T-Mobile lost 77,000 subscribers. This is a stark contrast to last year’s third quarter in which the company gained over 670,000 subscribers.
Other numbers of note: T-Mobile ended the quarter with 33 million customers, and reported a net income of $417 million. They are still the #4 carrier in the US, behind Sprint, AT&T and Verizon.
T-Mobile blamed most of the loss on FlexPay customers.
