At the moment, users can buy apps from the Android Market only via Google Checkout – which may not be the most convenient purchase option for everyone.

Probably that’s why Google plans to add more payment methods to the Android Market.

According to CNET, a future Android OS update will offer several other paying systems. Including carrier billing – which means that, for example, T-Mobile customers could purchase apps and pay for them via their monthly bill.

Moreover, it looks like you may even be able to buy apps without using Google Checkout at all.

The new Android Market payment methods might be available as soon as T-Mobile USA launches the MyTouch 3G – but there’s nothing official about this at the moment.
