There is always some paranoid that their notebooks while they are in a safe place can not stand the idea that somewhere between friend went to look at what their doing or go further hidden files;)

For them, a good solution can be Freeze, an application that transforms any mobile phone with Bluetooth in a kind of proximity blocker.

In simple words, with this software, your PC locks automatically when you're away. And we should not worry about the battery issue because if you can just put the password on the computer.

What I found most interesting application is that we can configure our laptop mode to save energy and when we are not closer, he realizes the machine and then turn to either sit or already activated and ready to function.

It is a shame that only is compatible with Windows XP and Vista (although it would be getting support for Mac) and can only try for 14 days but it seems that the company is trying to arrange with the manufacturers of computers to offer it as a standard option in the future.

mac os doesnt really have a lock function like windows, unlike u do some kind of hack like screensaver with password etc.

and the lock functonality might be implemented but it will be hackish and might not work 100% of the time :)

so yes mac os is a pretty lame os.
