Nokia expected to cut 1700 jobs

There was to be expected, with the economic crisis at the door and its loss of competitiveness in the smartphone, Nokia needs to take countermeasures in the budget to balance accounts. So who is paying first? Of course employees. The Finnish company, in fact, has announced it will cut 1700 jobs worldwide, including 700 in Finland.

The 0biettivo is to reduce the cost of 700 million € by 2010. The other measures taken by the company are: locking of the distribution of dividends to shareholders and issuance of bonds for a total of 1.75 billion €. In the coming weeks the company will consult the trade union bodies to give away the cuts.
