Motorola Cliq priced at $400 without contract, free with?

Earlier today, when Motorola announced the Android-based Cliq for T-Mobile, it didn’t say how much the new smartphone costs.
If we think about its features (HVGA touchscreen, QWERTY keyboard, MotoBlur, Wi-Fi, GPS, 5MP camera and so on), the Motorola Cliq should be a pretty expensive device, right? Perhaps not as expensive as T-Mobile’s HTC Touch Pro2 ($350 on contract), but still.
Well, T-Mobile USA could offer the Cliq for only $399.99 sans contract. This means that, with an agreement for two years, the smartphone may be priced well under $200. In fact, T-Mobile has listed the Cliq as being free on contract:
Unfortunately, the smartphone’s price was listed only for a few moments on T-Mo’s site. It might have been only a mistake and its real price is actually higher – we’ll probably find out the official price in the fourth quarter of the year, when the Cliq should go on sale.
