Motorola unveils the MOTO W403 – new basic clamshell

Motorola has just announced a new entry-level phone, the MOTO W403, but without providing a picture of it.

I’m sure that some official images will appear soon, but, until then, let’s see what this W403 is all about.

Presented as “an all-in-one music and camera phone”, Motorola W403 is a clamshell that has a “classic, enduring design”, and a “youthful metallic look”.

The phone obviously doesn’t come with too many advanced features. For example, it only has dual-band GSM/GPRS connectivity (850/1900 or 900/1800 MHz).

The main specs of MOTO W403 include:

* 1.8 inch internal display with 128 x 160 pixels
* 96 x 32 pixels CLI monochromatic external display
* MP3 player
* FM radio
* 2.5mm headset jack
* Bluetooth
* CrystalTalk technology
* VGA camera with video recording
* 7MB user available memory
* MicroSD card support, up to 2GB
* 95 x 46 x 16 mm
* 76 grams

Starting the fourth quarter of 2009, Motorola W403 will be available in Latin America for an affordable price.
