Launched by Vodafone in May this year as the world’s second Android phone, the HTC Magic should be soon available in quite many markets around the world – including China and the US, where T-Mobile will introduce it as MyTouch 3G.

Despite the economic downturn, HTC has big plans regarding the sales of the Magic.

The Chinese paper Commercial Times quotes Peter Chou, HTC’s CEO, who estimates that there will be 1 million Magic phones shipped around the world in the next one or two months.

Well, looks like the pace of Android device sales is accelerating for HTC. It took them 6 months to get 1 million G1 handsets sold. With Magic they might get to the 1 million device mark twice as fast.

HTC also plans to launch a third Android handset, the HTC Hero, but for the moment there are no official details about this.
