Coinciding with the arrival of the HTC Dream in the hands of Spain Movistar, the Taiwanese company has launched a competition to develop applications for Android. The idea is to promote the creation of applications for the open source platform Google. The points that the jury will take into account the uniqueness of the application, its technological feasibility and the use made of the potential of Android.

The contest will have two phases. The first is the contest of ideas, in which developers can submit their ideas until May 15, through the form can be found on this website. On May 20 the top three will be announced during the Fair Movilforum ideas and their creators will receive an HTC Dream.

In the second stage, the contest application development itself, involving all the developed applications to be submitted until July 15. The winner will take 5,000 and two finalists 1,000 euros each. For more information, please look at this pdf.
