According to the newspaper Expansión, there are negotiations between the British group Doughty Hanson and TeliaSonera to sell Yoigo. According to the newspaper, the positions are very similar and could be granted to Yoigo worth between 500 and 600 million euros. The intention of TeliaSonera, which currently has a 76.6% interest in Yoigo would sell a stake in the company enabling it to reduce its share below 50%. Thus, it would be integrated Yoigo in their accounts and therefore do not bear the losses of the operator, as has happened so far.

24.4% of the Spanish capital for the fourth operator is distributed among ACS (17%), FCC (3.4%) and Telvent (3%). Doughty Hanson acquires 30% stake owned by TeliaSonera for between 150 and 180 million euros. Expansion also shows that during the year 2008 Yoigo has quadrupled its sales and has achieved a 41% reduction in its losses to 2007.
