A recent study by In-Stat entitled "Smartphones are coming to the mainstream" ensures that smartphones will not experience the crisis in terms of market share, which would be doubled in 2013 reaching 20 per cent of the total.

But the best data to understand why it is possible that compliance with this prediction is that one third of respondents are planning to buy a smartphone the next time you change your cell phone.

Another interesting prediction is that with Linux smartphones (including Android) will have the greatest growth and the second-largest in terms of volume after reaching more than Symbian, Windows Mobile, RIM and iPhone OSX.

As for the owners and prospective buyers of smartphones, according to the study these were inclined to buy new mobile applications even though the average downloaded applications for all platforms, including iPhone-is quite low: less than 5 apps per user.
