. Surely you have at home a handful of different chargers for your cell phones. Although an attempt to be faithful to one brand, it is impossible to use the same charger. This diversity also creates difficulties when one is not at home and need someone to lend a charger.

These inconveniences could be near end. Rob Conway, head of GSMA, announced at the MWC's leading manufacturers in the world with Nokia, Samsung, LG, Motorola and Sony Ericsson in the lead, have agreed to create a single charger that works with all phones that are launched from the year 2012.

This new loader will use a mini or micro USB connection and is designed to be energy efficient. It seems a logical solution, since in addition to reducing energy wastage and protect the environment, this in theory should help to slightly lower prices. We'll see if everything is not in good intentions.
