Nokia reduced its production and fire employees in 2009

In response to falling demand for mobile phones worldwide and a disappointing last quarter of 2008, Nokia announced it will reduce production volumes of all its plants, in line with the market, and dismiss 400 employees spread over 2009. In addition to rotation suspended more than 2,500 employees at its plants in Finland.
