New members of Symbian Foundation: HP, MySpace, Qualcomm, and 11 more

The Symbian Foundation was taken over by Nokia last year (just over one weeks all Symbian employees became employees of Nokia) has just received 14 new members among which are HP, MySpace, Qualcomm and SanDisk, very strong companies in their respective sectors.

The other 10 companies that joined Symbian Foundation are: Atelier, Bank of America, Imagination Technologies, Gemalto, Omron Software, Mobic, Nanoradio, SiRF Technology, SESC and VirtualLogix.

With these 14 new members, and a total of 78 companies among which are Samsung, LG, Sony Ericsson, AT & T and Vodafone, to name a few.

Recall that the main objective of Nokia is to launch an open source Symbian platform would be available next year.
